Alex Erdmann

Alex Erdmann is Dean of the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. He holds a postgraduate diploma in International Hospitality Management from the International College of Hospitality Administration in Brig, Switzerland, and is a German Certified Master Chef and Certified Hospitality Educator. He brings more than 30 years of international experience spanning hospitality operations, professional training, and higher education. His background includes Ritz London, Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin, Disney Cruise Line, and Celebrity Cruises.

At Valencia, he led the development and opening of the Walt Disney World Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality and builds partnerships that connect education with industry needs. His work emphasizes practical skills, professional judgment, and experiential learning—bringing an educator’s and operator’s perspective to preparing talent for a technology-enabled industry grounded in exceptional human service.
