How Amadeus and HyperGuest Are Reshaping Leisure Hotel Distribution

Amadeus has introduced two hotel distribution capabilities built on a strategic connection with HyperGuest. HyperGuest is a venture-backed, cloud-native distribution company named one of Phocuswire's Hot 25 Travel Start-Ups. For hotels, the development opens a wider route to leisure travel sellers. It also raises the standard for the structured content those sellers now expect.

The capabilities sit within two Amadeus products. Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus manages private hotel agreements, and Amadeus Value Hotels is the company's net-rate merchant program.

What changes for independent hotels?

Independent properties gain a new path into the Amadeus network. According to Amadeus, the HyperGuest connection adds 15,000 directly sourced independent properties to Amadeus Value Hotels. This increases the net-rate leisure hotel content available to travel sellers and gives hotels new opportunities to extend their reach.

The connection also carries richer hotel content, including detailed rate plan information, property attributes, and optional services. Sellers use that detail to merchandise and personalize hotel offers more effectively.

How does Leisure Connect Plus manage private hotel agreements?

Leisure Connect Plus gives travel sellers one integration to manage and distribute their direct hotel contracts within the Amadeus Travel Platform. Amadeus reports that the connection reaches more than 150 channel managers through real-time APIs.

The integration automates rate and availability updates and shortens hotel onboarding. Sellers distribute content across their sales channels while keeping control of their hotel content and commercial strategy. Manual, fragmented workflows are replaced, and fewer separate integrations need to be maintained.

Where do ancillary revenue opportunities come in?

Leisure Connect Plus lets sellers attach targeted add-ons to private rate hotels. These include breakfast, parking, upgrades, early or late check-out, kids club, spa, and more. For hotels, each add-on sold through a seller channel is incremental revenue attached to the original booking.

Why does structured hotel content matter for AI search?

AI-assisted search is raising expectations for clearer, more comparable hotel content. Leisure sellers are moving toward modern retailing and multi-source models. They need efficient ways to manage private rates alongside scaled net-rate supply.

Granular, structured content is becoming a requirement as AI shapes how travel products are discovered, compared, and selected. Hotels that supply it are better placed to surface in those results.

What are distribution executives saying?

Claire Matanda, Head of Ecommerce & Digital Development at Abbey Group, said: "Fragmentation within the distribution cycle has been one of the biggest challenges I have faced throughout my career in tourism, and Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus provides an elegant solution. By simplifying connectivity across varying supply lines, it enables us to scale our distribution strategy while maintaining full control. We're already seeing tangible benefits through reduced distribution friction, broader product access, and a significant step towards an AI-ready travel distribution ecosystem."
Mirja Sickel, Executive Vice President, Hospitality Distribution at Amadeus, said: "Leisure hotel distribution remains a significant focus for Amadeus as the industry moves rapidly toward modern retailing. This partnership reflects Amadeus' multi-source hotel distribution strategy, with Amadeus orchestrating the end-to-end experience with HyperGuest's excellent capabilities as a behind-the-scenes enabler, giving sellers more inventory to sell on their own terms, allowing hotels to expand their reach and providing travelers with the chance to personalize their leisure experience. The richer and more structured hotel content available through this connectivity also helps prepare the industry for a future where AI increasingly influences how travel products are discovered, compared and selected."
